I would get an electrician or an HVAC tech to hook up this unit ,you do not want to get electricuted or blow up the unit it will cost you more to replace the unit if you blow it up that to get the proper person. REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST.

How do I replace the transformer?

#1turn high voltage off to the unit service disconnect or at your panel box.there will be two wires comeing out one side of transformer. And could have four out other side .I dont know what t-from. You have .take notes and pic with your phone if you can there should only be two wires for your low voltage wireing and two for your high side.on high voltage side it will show you one wire as common usealy its white than pick other color for what voltage you have going to unit 110 or 240 volt s.the old t-from should have wireing diagram on it .cut wires by old transformer just cut wire at wire nuts leavening color of wire and wire nut so it stays with wireing to old transformer at this point hopefully you should be able to follow what wire goes to wire on transformer. If you have any extra high voltage wires just wire nut them separately only useing two.I hope this helps without seeing t-from its hard to be exact but just be very aware of what wire goes to t-from and you will be ok .note dont go by color sometimes color s will be different on each t-from

Installed new coleman furnace. Wired everything the same as last furnace. Why does the draft induce motor not come on?

Lonnie,
That is difficult to answer by itself. My first question is not meant to insult you. Did you follow the power with a meter to find out where the power stops? Power to the inducer is an extremely important part of the safety curcuit wiring of your appliance. My next offensive question: did you match the wires based on function or color...don't laugh. People do that!!
Honestly, no qualified heating professional should advise you about wiring sight unseen...especially in wiring. The variables of control compatability, wiring technique, state codes are endless and could be dangerous. Please consult a professional heating technician. Be safe H99

Replacing an ST699 with a ST9400C following repl wiring diagram, but programmer does not come on. Is the diagram incorrect? Wiring colours do not follow any of the plans. Syst has room stat, cyl stat,...

Disregard wire colors. Instead wire by terminal designation. In other words :
Wire on "R" Terminal on old thermostat to "R" Terminal on new thermostat no matter the color.

Hi,
If the inducer fan is out of balance that badly, then you will need to replace the inducer anyway....it will shake its self apart....
Me I would have fixed the wire and then ordered a new inducer right a way and then installed it in a few days when it arrived...in is trouble waiting to happen...
Put the wire back on and get a new inducer coming...

How to identify what wires go to each terminal on thermostat for Induced Draft Gas Furnace...old thermostat discarded and wires not marked

Depending on what thermostat you have and existing wires. Typically red and white are for heat and yellow and green are for cooling. On base of thermostat there should be initials stamped to identify wires by color. R. W. Y. G. Possible Rc. and Rh if so for most uses you need to jumper these two together. You may have a blue wire instead of yellow or green. If so just hook blue to y or g. Hope this helps you. Thanks.

How do I install a blower motor in a duo therm model 57915.622? What tools will I need?

ITS NOT EASY. YOU NEED A LONG SET OF ALLENS TO LOOSEN BLOWER WHEELS. THIS IS A  DUEL SHAFT MOTOR , BACK COIL NEEDS TO BE PULLED AWAY FROM MOUNT WITHOUT BENDING COPPER. MOTOR BOLTS 3 OF THEM HAVE TO BE REMOVED AND WHEN BOTH BLOWERS ARE REMOVED AND WIRES REMOVED THEN IT CAN BE REMOVED . THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE NEW MOTOR IF IT IS NOT FROM DUO THERM YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT SHAFT TO RIGHT SIZE AND WIRES MAY NOT BE SAME COLOR. IF IT IS SAME MOTOR FROM DUO THERM YOU CAN CUT WIRES AT OLD MOTOR AND WIRE NUT THEM COLOR BY COLOR.

Replaced condenser and had health problems. Now

Hi Bill, I am sorry you became ill from this or anything else. On a condenser, did you change out the condenser coil as in removing the freon and cutting it out, or did you remove the complete unit on top, compressor and all? If you changed out the complete unit on top, the wiring should be fairly easy to connect. Take your power in which would be 220 volts from your power source. More then likely, you will have 2- black hot wires in and a ground, either bare copper or green which grounds to the new unit case. You will have 2- new wires from the new condenser , red and black or different colors, it will not matter as each line will be 120 volts, these will be the load wires to the new unit. Connect 1- wire to one coming in, either one, and do the same to the other wire. Secure the ground and you are set. If this is what you are doing or want to do, this is the way. Once you get power to the new unit, the controls will do the rest for you. Just turn it on inside and you will be up and running. Keep me posted.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

Hi, welcome to Fixya. First thing that I would recommend checking is the filter and air flow in general. The furnace may be overheating, cooling enough to run, overheating and so on. The second thing ( you didn't say so I'll assume it's gas heat) I would check is the tube coming off of the inducer. The inducer is the little blower that generally comes on before anything else on start up. There is a small rubber tube coming off of it. Pull the end of the tube connected to the inducer, then taking a straightened paper clip or similar poke the orifice in the nipple that the tube came off to clear any obstruction. Then retry the furnace. Let me know if this helps please.

Heat pump 5 ton package unit

You have two of your t-stat wires that are shorted out. Disconnect the wires at both the unit and t-stat. Take two wires at a time and ohm them out. If you have continuity those are the shorted wires. Substitute them for two different colored wires if you have two wires that are currently unused. If not you will need to pull new wire. Please answer back to say if this works or not.
