I have been buying Bostitch t31 parts on ebay. Rebuild kit usually about $22 - 39 depending on how luckey you are at bidding. Keep searching on Ebay for other parts for this gun as parts are not available at Bostitch.com any longer. The oring kit for the N60 is available at amazon.com. the part number is ORK1, cost under $20. You can also find bargains on ebay. When installing orings us silicone grease. It is available at lowes in the plumbing department. It looks like vaseling. It is used for lubricating orings in faucets. Good luck on your repair project.

D51822 plunger will fire (and impact wood) but will not retract enough to grab/push out a nail.

Dewalt nailers have some vinyl orings that fail. Usually found within the trigger valve, headvalve, and between the cylinder and cylinder spacer (white plastic piece). A dewalt nailer with failing orings may not leak air however. The vinyl orings tend to start to crumble and the tacky-crumbling pieces tend to create a seal. Easy way to check condition of the vinyl seals in a Dewalt is to remove the trigger valve and look at the orings on the firing pin/stem (2mmx1.5mm orings). If these two orings are soft and sticky, then orings inside of gun most likely the same. Check band on the outside of the cylinder (part # 390159-00) is what causes piston to return to top. But also check to too tight or too loose piston oring, bent shaft of driver and worn/ broken lower bumper. If all is well with internal parts and piston does not return to top, too much air is leaking past nose of gun. Oring kit sold by dewalt will contain most of the orings needed. The kit may not have orings for the trigger. You will at need two orings (2mm x 1.5mm) for the trigger valve stem or just replace the valve. Use white grease or silicone paste lube on all the orings. Good luck.

Air rushes out of trigger area as soon as air hose is connected.

Remove the trigger to expose the trigger valve then un-screw the valve. If you have access to orings, pull apart the valve and replace orings (5 orings in the valve and one external oring ((external oring usually ok)). If you would like to replace the valve complete, the part number is ( PB205ba1) and is available at www.toolpartsdirect.com. Good luck with the repair.

Senco finish nailer, drive pin doesn't retract up to take another nail...

Senco nailers are very reliable however could suffer from several issues that would cause your problem. Here are a few things to check that may solve your problem. Bent driver, worn parts, broken check valve. Main problem with all finish nailers is bent driver blade. Easy to check, remove and examine. The driver should travel length of cylinder without jaming. Driver oring/plastic ring should fit snug into cylinder. Remove cylinder and check the oring neer the bottom of the cylinder. This is a check valve. There are small holes that should be cleaned. If oring is loose or broken just use any oring that fits snuggly. Next, check that lower bumper is not chipped or cracked and that washer under bumper is not too worn or missing. Replace parts as necessary. (www.toolpartsdirect.com)

Bostitch T31 air leak thru small head hole

I have repaired hundreds of nailers, however not a t31. I can offer you a few tips on general nail gun repair pertaining to leaks. It is important to check each oring separately if you can to check for proper fit/contact. Do not just replace all orings and then hope for the best. Each oring must fit snugly not too tight not too loose. The surface where the oring contacts must not have fine scratches. Inspect all surfaces with magnify lens for scratches and remove with fine sandpaper. Check each oring for nicks Make sure that gaskets do not block small ports that direct air to headalve. Use silicone grease instead of oil on orings and metal/plastic parts. Lowes sells a small container of silicone grease in the plumbing department. It is used to lube faucet parts. Oil will wash away too fast and sometimes it will swell the orings causing gun to jamb. Finally do not use too much pressure on small nailguns. Try using 70 to 90 lbs. Good luck
