Question about Sharp CLMPF0046DE10 Projector Lamp for XGE1100U, XGE1200U, XGE3500U, XV2W99

1 Answer

Sharp XGE3500 Projector won't stay turmed on

The projector powers up and the lamp comes on briefly then turns off. It does this a few times and then the whole unit turns off by itself. Image is projected in the brief time that lam p is on and we are able to see the menu just not long enough to do anything with it. This projector was donated to our church and we are desperate to get it running for as little money as possible.

The power supply is starting to go. the caps are drying up. if there is a large drain of power (like striking the lamp), it'll shut down.

I am replacing the bulb on my sharp xv-z2000 projector. i replaced it fine but the power light and the bulb light both stay red and i cant even turn the projector on. how do you reset the projector?

Two red lights indicate a problem with the lamp circuitry, i.e. the ballast. This requires a service center to change out a circuit board. Given the cost, it might be time to look for a new projector.

There is no problem here, the sharp projectors just do this until you enter the reset procedure. It comes on a sheet with your lamp. they differ from projector to projector. often involves hold down power and some arrows while plugging in the projector - that will reset the lamp timer and you will be away!
