Question about Logitech Quickcam Chat Webcam
When using a headset with webcam on Skype. Call drops, then I lose connection to my webcam. Skype & pc cannot recognize the webcam. Using brand new Logitech Quickcam Pro 900 webcam. Also using brand new Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset. Problem also occurs when using another headset that connects via analog plugs. Running Windows Vista Home edition on @3 yr old pc with Intel® Celeron® D Processor 356 & 4GB of RAM. Already downloaded latest webcam driver.
Have you checked the recording settings in Windows and in Skype? Try changing the default recording device to specifically indicate the device that has your headset plugged. I think the webcam also has a mic and that should not be selected.
Other thing to check is if there is some kind of resource conflict between your USB controller and audio card (use Device Manager).
