I cant find the alarm clock on N79? I have looked in the date and time menu, and whilst there are options for changing the alarm tones, snooze time and days of functioning, there is no option of setting an alarm time??

each and every buttons has some function;(shortcuts)
press down to toggle between 12hr/24hr format;
press up to enter contdown timer;
press snooze to set snooze in alarm;
press c/f to toggle between two temperature formats;
press mode to toggle between alarm time and current time

when an alarm appears you have two options one is snooze other is off if you select off it wont snooze......... by default snooze will come after 10 mins even if you missed it first time you can off it next time ok.

You did not specify the phone you using.

To set date and time on your nokia phone

Select Menu > Settings and Phone > Date and
time.
Select from the following:
Time - Enter the current time.
Time zone - Select your location.
Date - Enter the date.
Date format - Select the date format.
Date separator - Select the symbol that separates days, months, and years.
Time format - Select the time format.
Time separator - Select the symbol that separates hours and minutes.
Clock type - Select the clock type.
Clock alarm tone - Select the tone for the alarm clock.
Alarm snooze time - Adjust the snooze time.
Workdays - Select your working days. You can then set an alarm only for working day mornings, for example.
Automatic time update - To update the time,date, and time zone, select On. This network service may not be available on all networks.

For getting Alarm clock application in Nokia N79,

1) Press Menu key, and select Applications > Clock.
To cancel an alarm, select Options > Remove alarm.

To create an alarm follow the steps below:

1. While in standby mode, press the Menu / OK button
2. Select Tools
3. Select Alarm Clock (9)
4. Highlight the desired Alarm, using the navigation keys, from the following:
• Alarm #1
• Alarm #2
• Alarm #3
5. Press the Menu / OK button
6. Set alarm to On, using the navigation keys
7. Set alarm time, using the keypad
8. Select either A for AM or P for PM, using the navigation keys
9. Press Menu / OK button to choose the Ringer Type from the following:
• Single Tones (1)
• Tone 1 through Tone 9
• Ring Tones (2)
• Ring Tone 1 through Ring Tone 15
• Melodies (3)
• Ball (1)
• Caribbean Cruise (2)
• Chorus of Clocks (3)
• Right Here (4)
• Guitar Man (5)
• Latin Lady (6)
• Minuett (7)

10. Select desired Repeat frequency, using the navigation keys, from the following:
• Daily
• Once
• Mon to Fri
• Sat & Sun
11. Select the Snooze Interval, using the navigation keys, from the following:
• 5 Minutes
• 10 Minutes
• 15 Minutes
• 20 Minutes
12. Press the left soft key for Done to save the alarm changes

you go to your alarm settings in there you will find the option that snooze time in there you will change the time for snooze

Hello,
A possible solution to this issue could be changing the automatic update of time and date. If it's currently switched on on your phone, try switching it off. And if it's already off try switching it off.
Here's where to find the setting: Menu >> Applications >> Clock >> Options >> Settings >> Automatic time update

scroll down and select the alarm clock
you can choose by pressing the right soft key
by choosing the disable the alarm clock..

Well when you set the alarm there shud be an option to select how many minutes snooze is , so i suggest you reset the alarm clock and select your desired snooze time out .
