Question about ViewSonic N2750w 27 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
I have a Viewsonic HDTV N4060W 42 in and after it has been on for more than 10 minutes or so the sounds begans to go in and out; sounding as if it is playing a warped record. It started some time ago in just small intervals (maybe once or twice a day), it now does it if the TV has been on for any period of time. Does anyone know if this is a problem that can be easily fixed or would it be more cost effective to just replace the set? I have only had it for about 1 1/2 years.
Poor solder connections inside the set can vary the voltage to the audio amp chip which can cause this type of symptom. If you can solder, look for any solder connection that appears grainy or has rings and resolder them. Please note that these sets have potentially dangerous high voltages inside even when unplugged.

Does this have any effect on the picture at all? If not, hook up the audio out to a receiver or boom box or something and see if the line level audio outputs get the same warped sound after 10 minutes or so. If not, the problem is somewhere in the audio amp circuitry.
