Question about Projection Televisions

1 Answer

We just purchased a 55'' Phillips projection tv that is 7yrs old and the picture is horrible. It worked fine at their house. However it's like there is a bright light and the colors are horrible. We tried adjusting everything and nothing works. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the TV either failed or was thrown out of alignment during the trip to your place.

See if there is a reset button on the remote, or if there is a reset procedure for the television.

I hope you didn't pay too much for a 7 year old TV. Good luck.

We had the same problem. Let it be and now the tv won't turn on. If I understand correctly from what I've read it's the optical block and they seem to be just as much as a new tv.

My phillips model 60pp920217f has a horrible picture...no green to the color

The green CRT coolant has congealed thats whats giving you the green halos. Change the coolant in the green and blue and your set will be fine. red is never affected so the red coolant should be fine.
