Our dishwasher continuously flashes "CL"

Hi trrhodes,

I believe the CL you are getting means "Child Lock". Under normal circumstances there should be no activity at all on your machine.

Please do the following:
- On the Facial Panel (Where the buttons are located), look for 2 buttons marked together with a line, it should also have a face of a child somewhere on that line.
- Press both these buttons together for 3 - 5 seconds, this should reset the Child Lock.

Kind Regards :-)

Jacques

Pots &pans normal sani cycle lighs fashing..wont start lights wont go off..help!

If it is a slow blink on the start button it's something to do with your door switch. If it's a rapid continous flashing it's prob a short in your key pad. If it flashes 7 times, pauses and then repeats you have a fault with your heating element.
If it's a short with your key pad and the unit has water in it - stopped mid cycle you can cut the power to the unit at the breaker, open the door controls up and disconnect the 14 pin key pad connection. There should be a wiring diagram in the toekick cover (at the floor). This diagram will tell you how to do various tests, disconnect the key pad. If your not a handy type person call a repair man and tell him you think youhav a short in your key pad.

Mold growing on dishes

Recommend that you run another cycle with no DW soap aded, waiting until the dishwasher has filled with hot water and begins to do the first wash cycle. Then add 1/2 cup of bleach to the water and close the door. Allow the cycle to finish. Run it normally with a standard load of dirty dishes. Note: These high efficiency dishwashers count on the "dirt" of the dirty dishes to help wash/clean the dishes. Recommend you not rinse/wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.

Watch for any occurrence of the black dots and repeat the bleach treatment.

Dishwasher water draining????

Make sure the odor is coming from the dishwasher.
Pull the bottom basket out and check for food that might be stuck in it. And check for food particles in the bottom of the dishwasher.
Then pour some baking soda into the dish liquid compatment. Run it through a complete cycle. This should deodorize and clean the dishwasher. i hope it helps. Please remember to leave rating.

OK - sorted it finally!

If you, like me, had actually added water thinking that this would rinse the machine through... doh! you had inadvertantly made water fill the cavity at the bottom of the maching. This is situated behind the kick-board. There are 2 black plastic panels - if you remove these, (they just pop out) and sponge out the water that is activating the dip switch (there is a polystirene float) that activates the pump - this resolves the E4 error code.

Make sure you do it while the machine is off! The reason the base of the machine has filled with water may need further investigation, but mine was most definitely user error. Who'd of thought adding water to a dishwasher could have been so fatal! It nearly cost me £88 call out charge too after the helpline weren't able to help me.

Order and replace the front panel only - not the control card. This will resolve the problem.
