On Off button blocked in "depressed position"

Hello
The On Off button is blocked in "pressed" mode...... "off"
The problem happened when I tried to switch off : I pressed the button but the light remained "on". I then removed the batteries....
Now the button is blocked in "off mode". When I insert batteries, a red diode blinks 2 times.. and that' s it
What shall I do ?

The camera will need to be taken apart. Then you have 2 choices replace the switch with a new or used part (ebay) or take the pieces out and put the camera back together and reach through the hole with something to push the button on the inside of the camera. The camera is easy to get apart. It has 4 screws, 2 on the bottom and 1 at the USB port and 1 inside the battery door. With the battery door open and screws out pull the back cover loose, be careful the LCD is loose when the cover comes off, just tape it in position to hold it. The rest will be self explanitory.

Try this...remove the lens and fire off a few shots. Clean the contacts on the lens and camera body where they meet with a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol. Re-attach the lens and try it.

Press the left/right button to select the [Protect] menu tab.
Select the desired sub menu [All Pics] by pressing the up/down button then pressing OK.
Zoom W/T Button: Protect/Release the images.
OK Button: Your changes will be saved and the menu will disappear.

Hope this helps.

Cybershot H7 focus problem

Things to check before you assume it is a mechanical issue-you can get vibration message if flash is disabled, be sure also that the macro mode is not enabled-this is very common on sony cameras to turn on by accident-flower button on camera will put in close up mode and you will get blur make sure no flower is present on lcd screen-if in macro press button on camera w/flower to turn off-also in menu you have continuous and monitor auto focus settings try changing one or the other and see what happens

Dear Friend, Nothing is wrong. they are digital buttons and this happenes if signal do not reach properly. If camara is used many times and dust problem then sometimes such buttons. thats all. If You are not technical pelase donnot try to open and clean it as most of part are very delicate. Thanks Sangita
