Question about Denon AVR-1403 Receiver
I heard this sound 2 day's ago.my unis is still under warranty.but i am affrade to send my receiver for service center, because they are not given any report about what part they repaired.actually thi crack sound is comming only when i am switch on DOLBY PLII ,when i am playing stereo it's not comming.
Even if i just switch on receiver with out any inputs still crack sound is comming through speks.please let me know if you have any suggess to resolve this problem. Thanks
The Dolby processing IC has failed. The noise you are hearing is digital noise. There is nothing you can do with this other than sending it in for warranty repair. They will change the surround processing board and return the unit to you. Since it is cheaper for them to replace the board, the individual "parts" that failed will never be known. I have changed these in the field before. As a warranty service center we are required to change the IC first. Sending it in to the factory, they will just swap out the board.
