The Dolby processing IC has failed. The noise you are hearing is digital noise. There is nothing you can do with this other than sending it in for warranty repair. They will change the surround processing board and return the unit to you. Since it is cheaper for them to replace the board, the individual "parts" that failed will never be known. I have changed these in the field before. As a warranty service center we are required to change the IC first. Sending it in to the factory, they will just swap out the board.

PL II = Dolby Pro Logic II

C CBL means Coax Cable, most likely your unit has the coax type digiital cable as opposed to OR in addition to optical type digital cable. http://assets.denon.com/documentmaster/us/avr-1613%20owners%20manual.pdf

You have to ask about this to the authorized service center for Sceptre. If the set is under warranty period, either thy should repair it and send back to your, or must give you an other TV of the same model. Why should you wait for? google.com/+GopakumarGopalan

Denon avr-1508 turns on but no sound

Try plugging is a set of headphones and then unplugging them. These models have a problem with the headphone jack thinking that there is headphones plugged in even when there isn't. This will mute all audio to the speakers.

I plugged in my HP laser printer P1505 which operates on 110V into 220V. Heard a sound and then smoke came out from the bottom. What can i do to fix it?

Send it back to HP service center if your printer is still under warranty. or send it to printer repair shop. I think there is nothing you can do to fix.

No video on Denon 1508

Coax-2 is audio. Where's the video from the cable tuner coming into the Denon?

Why don you need the cable to pass video through the Denon on iuts way to the TV anyway? Interconnnects rarely add value.

When receiver used for more than 2 hours tv flickers

Your receiver has HDMI version 1.2a and it has bugs/hardware issues. You have two choices. If your receiver is still under warranty, send it out to an authorized service center and they will fix it and upgrade the software and hardware for free to version 1.3a. If not, run HDMI directly to TV from source and optical or digital coaxial to you receiver. Hope this helps

Onkyo TX-SR806 7.1 Channels Receiver I bought a reciver just 4 days back. It worked fine for 2 days and yesterday when i tried to increase the volume, it shut off. I tried troubleshooting to see if there...

If you have disconnected all connections from the receiver including your sources and the unit shuts down and goes in protect then there is an internal shortcircuit on the receiver and you would need to send that to an authorized service center. Now, since you just bought it 4 days ago, if you purchased it from an authorized dealer of Onkyo you could have it replaced since its way within the 30 day return policy. But, if you have purchased it from circuit city, unfortunately your option would only be the service center for repairs. If you send it to an authorized service center, you would need to put in a copy of your sales receipt together with a brief description of the issue you are encountering. Where did you purchase your 806?
