Sarah-

The previous poster has a good point, If you have a friend that has a sidekick 3 or sidkeick ID, swap batteries and see if they work.

THe sidekick 3 is notorious for the charging port going bad. It is tricky though, because the little orange light comes on but no power is actually getting to the battery.

In this situation, I recommend a external battery charger and a spare battery.

Check out the link below for those.

THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE THE BATTERY ;; GET A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY 4M SOME ONE THAT HAS A SIDEKICK 3 ND CHEK IF IT WORKS AND THAT WILL LET YOU KNOW IF THE PROBLEM IS EITHER THE FONE OR THE BATTERY

My phone is not holding a charge. I charge it overnight and this morning it was only at 32% charged. The day before the charge ran out very fast. How can I fix this problem?

It sounds like you need to replace the battery in your phone. NiCad batteries will build a memory, so you should not use the phone for, say 3 hours and place it back on the charger. You should use the phone and let it run down until you get a warning on the phone of low battery. That is when you should put the phone on the charger. It is okay to leave the phone on the charger for extended hours and it will not do anything to the battery, but in your case it looks like you have a bad battery.

Just a suggestion, but if you leave your bluetooth runnung it wears out the battery faster, so you could try turning the bluetooth off when you dont need it to see if that makes a difference. It does on most phones.

Charging new phone

it wont harm your phone they just recomend 24 hours to make sure the bat is ok and that it gets fully charged but remember to let your bat go totally flat from time to time this will prolong the life of your battery as it does them no good just keep topping it up so i sugest to let it go totally flat say once a month this will keep your battery lasting longer between charge hope this helps
