Forgot my ipod pascode lock

If you own an iPod touch, you have the option to set a password, which Apple calls a passcode, to protect your data. Anyone who attempts to access your iPod, after unlocking it or turning it on, will require the passcode to do so. However, if you forget your passcode or incorrectly enter it, you will eventually see an alert that your iPod touch has become disabled. To unlock your iPod touch after forgetting the passcode, and still access your content, you must connect it to the computer with which you last synced it.

Connect your iPod touch to the computer with which you last synced the music player. Launch iTunes if it does not automatically open. Select your iPod touch under the devices list, and click the "Summary" tab in iTunes. Click "Restore" and, when prompted, click the "Back Up" button to save a back up of your iPod touch in iTunes. Click "Restore" when prompted, after the back up saves. After restoring, click "Ok." Choose the most recent back up from the drop down list on the "Set Up Your iPod" screen. Click the "Continue" button to restore your iPod touch.

I forget my password on ipod touch

You can unlock it by simply connecting it to the computer that it was originally loaded from. iTunes will unlock the iPod for you, but it will not reset iPod password. Of course, as long as you don’t need to lock it again, that should be okay. The iPod will not lock automatically — it only does so if you specifically select the “lock screen” option.
There are several hacks and workarounds out there that will supposedly let you clear out the password by editing files in the iPod’s control directories through disk mode access, but I have never been able to consistently reproduce these, particularly on more recent firmware versions.
The only sure-fire way to actually remove the password entirely is to perform a “restore” on your iPod, which will erase everything on it, basically returning it to factory settings. If you’re using automatic sync, however, it should be almost trivial to reload it from iTunes, although it will take a bit of time.

How do I unlock my ipod it won't unlock . It was recently dropped in water by my nephew. It was working again today after I let it sit for about 2 weeks. I was able to turn it on and it lit up like it used...

did you forget the password or is it not allowing you to even put in a password. I will start with a how to reset the password. If this does not work please let me know by following up with a comment and i can instruct you where to go from here. According to Apple, if you have forgotten the code, you can unlock the IPod by doing the following: Connect your IPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one IPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked. If you can't unlock IPod using either [the code or connecting it to the computer you use to manage its songs]. . . you can restore your iPod to factory settings using iPod Updater. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to your iPod. If you want to change the primary computer that your IPod is associated with, do this: 1. Restore your iPod. WARNING: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data. 2. Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer. 3. Open iTunes and synchronize. Apple also notes that company "representatives cannot unlock an iPod if you forget your combination. If you can't unlock your iPod and you don't have access to the primary computer, your only option is to restore the IPod, which will erase all music and data." If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the solution. thanks and have a great day.

Forgot password for ipodtouch

There are really two ways to unlock your locked ipod2_bing.gif if you forget the code.

1. First, connect your iPod to the first computer it was synced with or the computer set as the primary one in iTunes2_bing.gif. Open the iTunes and then disconnect your iPod from the computer, and it should no longer be locked.

2. Restore your ipod, CAUTION! this will erase all of your songs and personal data.
