Question about Herbeau Creations HERBEAU "Luberon" Art Nouveau Fireclay Double Sink - 4615-30 - French Ivory

1 Answer

I have a brown colored stain in the bottom of my white franke white fireclay sink (maybe coffee stain, not sure) I can't get it clean with regular hand soap which is what franke told me to clean the sink with. Also, I have a small aluminum scratch mark, they told me to use baking soda, hardly cleaned it, just barely took some of the scratch mark away. Does anyone know what I can use to clean either of these stains. My sink is brand new, only 3 months old and I'm worried. Thank you, Annie

I used Cerama Bryte for the dark colored stain, I left it on for about 5 minutes and then rubbed it clean, the stain is gone. Now I tried it on the small aluminum scratch marks, no thank you, it couldn't help that problem. Still seeking a solution. Thanks

How to clean coffee stains on white coffee maker

Plastic can absorb Stains, so you will need to use some kind of bleaching poduct.

some products you can try individually:
  • Baking soda
  • Bleach
  • Water
  • Vinegar
  • Rubbing alcohol
Dilute with luke warm water , except for Rubbing Alcohol
Use some kind of tray which you don't mind if it gets bleach stains to protect your countertop. put the device on the tray.
If you can't soak an item, try disconnecting the device, then wrapping a lightly soaked hand towel or paper towel over the area that is discolored

Rinse with luke warm water, and make sure device has completely dried before reconnecting.

I have a white rubber sink mat. How do I clean off the coffee and tomato sauce stains?

I tend to scrub my mat with detergent. Rinse it with warm water and leave it to dry off. You can also leave them to soak overnight with soap and then rinse them off in the morning. For really tough stains, I pour baking soda on top, let it sit for a bit and then scrub the mat. You can try leaving them in the sun, because sun bleaches white things.

Can I drop-on this sink? or only undermount it? Thanks, Brooke

You are only restricted to undermounting these sinks because of there depth in relation to the siting of the tap, that's all. Remember if you place this sink on top you willhave to discreetly raise the tapbase fixing to maintain easy use of the taps

Difference between black basket strainer 900 and regular strainer.also i want white. are there different sizes or universal.

Unless you have a special purpose sink all basket strainers are standard size. You should be able to use strainer from any manufacturer that has the color that you want. If you are doing this yourself make sure you use rubber gasket and fiber friction ring. These go on the underside of sink in between sink bottom and retaing nut. I would recommend you use a small amount of pure silicone caulking in between flange of strainer and sink surface. Be ready to wipe off excess caulking as soon as you get retaing nut snug as it starts to cure in about ten mins. I use paper towels and wipe till its clean. Hope this helps. Thanks

I have a white Franke fireclay sink. We also have very hard water despite using an undersink filter. The sink is part of a new remodel and despite little use so far and lots of wiping, the water spots seem...

The best product I have found to remove water spots is a product called A-maz water stain remover in a 14 oz tub. There is no magic "wipe on,wipe off" product that I have found. Initially it is a little labor intensive but this is amazing stuff and can return your sink to its original luster.

This company also make a sealer but I have not tried it. A couple of alternatives might be Rain-X or Maguires auto wax. The concept here is to put a barrier down that will seal the pores of the sink and make it easier next time to remove the spots. My favorite is Maguires about every 3 months. I have provided a link below to the A-maz web site where you can find a distributor nearest you.

I have a black pegasas kitchen sink and it has a brown film on the sides of the sink. how do i clean this and get it off.

The best thing to use and the safest for the finsh is, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Just wet it and squeeze out the excess water and LIGHTLY rub the stained area until it is gone.

Be sure to rub lightly, as you don't want to remove anything but the stains. If you keep rubbing after the stain is gone, it is possible to start affecting the finish on the sink. You'd really have to rub pretty hard to do that, but some folks go overboard when trying to get stains off things

I've been using the Magic Eraser around our house for years and it's great at keeping the textured fridge handle clean and alot easier than anything else we've tried!

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
