You are limited to the capabilities of your video card in your computer. The monitor itself is not part of the ability to raise the resolution. Go to Display Properties under Control Panel and slide the resolution all the way to the right. If the max is 800X600 then that is the max for your video card. Buy new video card.

  1. Please try by reseating the RAM modules.

  3. Reset the BIOS to its default.
  4. Check whether the monitor colour resolution is out of range
If yes, set it to default.

Please check whether is works with different computer

Displaying "out of range" when plugged in

Hello white tiger, hi, the out of range error is usually caused by a very high resolution setup on your computer display card that windows installed (generic driver), the monitor simply cannot produce the resolution, set your resolution to a safe level like 1024 by 768, most monitors can display this resolution. The root of this error message is incorrect display driver, you need CD to install the display driver. Once installed your resolution will now be controlled to a safe settings were the monitor can display properly.

StarLogic- Out of range

The computer needs its screen resolution reducing or changing in aspect ratio to suit the StarLogic monitor. Use a previously-working monitor and reduce the resolution on the computer to 1024 x 768 pixels or less (right-click an unused part of the desktop, click Properties and select Settings; slide the resolution slider to the left to adjust). The StarLogic monitor will now work; plug it in - do the resolution adjustment again as above, but increasing the resolution until you are happy. Going this way around, your computer will failsafe back to the previous (lower) resolution if the monitor says Out Of Range again, so you cannot lose the display along the way..

Monitor power light flashes off and on. Monitor

It could be any of the two. As a troubleshooting step, and I have seen this before, try connecting the monitor directly to the wall outlet and this being a new outlet. (sometimes a power issue)

Do you have a extra power or monitor cables to rule out a cable problem?

The VGA card could be mis-seated. Turn off the computer and re-seat the video card.

Does the monitor screen show at Bios and is the problem only in windows? (in case higher resolution settting than monitor can handle)

blown capacitors on the vga board or the resolution for the display adapter is set too high for the monitor reduce the resolution in safe mode and you should be ok, if not then the bad capacitors are in need of being repalced

Star logic monitor settings

I typically do capacitor replacement on lcds all the time insde, the board for power will most likely have 1 - 4 blown capacitors, replace these and the monitor should be good as new, btw 1 is a 10 v smallish size you can replace it with a 16 volt same MF.

there is a chance that your computer onboard video does not support a higher setting. what operating system do you have, using onboard video or a video card would assist me in giving you advice.
