Heya i'm stuck on how to scan my picture on a canon smartbase mp370 and want some advise on how to do it please thanks donna

Hai Donna.
If you have Canon Solution Center (I have HP Solution Center for HP printer, the name could be various) in your dekstop after installing the driver, click the icon. Scan option usually there.

If you can't find the option you can scan manually via Microsoft Word document.
- Open Microsoft word
- Insert > Picture > From Scaner > Click
- Scan option will appear > Preview > set scan area > Click Scan > Wait until finish
- The picture will appear on your word sheet > Picture option > set in front of text
- Right click > Save as picture > choose the folder to save > Click Save
- DONE, you can open your picture file in the destined folder.

Hope this help and if helpful RATE please.

Kodak ESP5 AiO Unable to scan to PC. Error code on opening Scanner 2106 Please advise,THANK YOU!

Please clarify a few things for me so I can help you solve this issue.

Are you trying to scan from the printer to the computer? (pushing the scan command on the printers keypad to send the signal to the computer)

OR

Are you trying to scan from the computer to the printer? (Using the scan options in your software by choosing "start" and then "programs" and opening your printers software to choose the scan option)

If your scanning from printer to computer (using the printers scan option on the keypad) and your getting an error code, chances are the problem is you have not set up your defaults in the printers menu yet. To scan from printer to computer, the printer needs to know which program you want your document to scan to in your computer. If its a text document, some people choose "Microsoft Word" and the scan fuction sends your item to that program and opens it for viewing on your computer screen.

There are different programs to use for each type of fax that need to be set up in advance in your printer to be able to scan from printer to computer. Send pictures to a photo editing software and choose the size and resolution you want as "default". Do the same for setting up text documents before you try and use this feature to eliminate the error code.

To configure your options to scan from printer to pc, push the "menu" button on your printer and use the up and down arrows on the printers keypad to move through the choices. Find the command similar to "scan options" and follow the prompts to set the defaults on handling text documents and pictures and then save your choices by pushing the "ok" button on the printers keypad.

Try scanning again with your computer turned on and open to the desktop. Push the scan button on the printer and see if it sends the image or document to your computer screen. It should warm up, then scan and show a preview on your screen for you to accept or reject. If this does not happen, please asnwer my questions as listed above and clarify what you see so I can help solve this issue right now.

I am trying to scan from a HP Officejet Pro L7580. I am a bit of a technophobe and the printer is telling me No Scan Options Refer to device documentation which I havn't got. PLEASE advise me on how to...

Hello Mr.Johnson !

You can start a scan from a computer or from the control panel.

To use the scan features, your device and computer must be connected and turned
on. The printer software must also be installed and running on your computer prior to
scanning. To verify that the printer software is running on a computer running
Windows, look for the device icon in the system tray at the lower-right side of the
screen, near the clock. To verify this on a computer using the Mac OS, open the HP
Device Manager, and click Scan Picture. If a scanner is available, it will launch the HP
ScanPro application. If it is not available, a message appears to let you know that a
scanner was not found

Here you will find a link that will take you to this printers service manual (device documentation) :

When trying to scan a photo from the c7280 to the computer the printer displays the following error message No Scan Options : refer to documentation and troubleshoot. This is not covered in my printer...

That's because it's not a printer problem. The scan options are in your computer in the scanning software for your machine. Before you can scan you need to be connected to your computer with scan software running to tell it how to scan, what you're scanning, and where to send and save the image you scan.

What does NG mean for Status after sending a scanned item or faxed item?

Hi,

Hi,
I can advise you on the 'memory full' problem, mate.

If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning the first page of a fax, press Stop to cancel the scan. If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning in a subsequent page, you’ll have the option to press Start to transmit the pages scanned
so far, or to press Stop to cancel the operation. In this case, send the fax by the Manual Transmission.
Depending on your typical faxes, MEMORY FULL errors can occur frequently. If this happens, change the Memory Transmission setting back to OFF.

Thanks.
