Contact the Bissell services in your country - most of the Bissell sites (www.bissell.com) for example have Adobe user instructions of which you can download.

SOURCE: bissell model 8910 carpet cleaner

Depending on which style you have, it may have a opening on the right side as you look at the front of the machine. If not you may need to remove the cover. If it does it says "belt access" and has two 1/8" (about) slots in the cover. with a small screw driver or something similar insert tool into slot and gently pry(if you are looking from the side) the left slot up and towards the right and the right slot up and to the left. It will slowly (or quickly depending on how hard you have to push) pop up and you can slide it off and see the pump. I think it is easier to just remove the 4 screws that hold the pump in place so you can replace both belts at the same time and not struggle with having to stretch the new belts. The last time I did this the Sprocket(small metal peice with teeth that turns the brushes) had broken off. I cleaned and dried everything and used 30 second epoxy to glue the sprocket back on and it works fine lasts a long time. Once you have removed the 4 screws holding the pump you can use a flashlight and screwdriver, knitting needle, pen etc. to hook the belt from the brush on to the pump shaft(sprocket) very easy. You may need to tilt and angle the pump a little to gt the belt over the lip on the sprocket. Like I did when I did this you will need to put the smooth belt on over the pump shaft first then put on the brush belt and screw the pump back into place (4 screws just snug because you can easily strip the plastic mounting holes) and put smooth belt on the electric motor shaft. you may need to stretch the belt a little because it has no gears it is just friction that turns the pump. Clean and dry everything this will make this repair last longer. If you will take a few minutes after each use to clean at least around the belt area they will last a long time. You can even put a belt conditioner on them for added life. Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Why is the tool attachment not working

Check for kinks in the hose. Unwind the hose all the way and depress the sprayer button. Check the filters for clogging (listed in your User's Guide) Call Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7691 Hope that helped.

I have the 7350 prodry carpet cleaner and it while cleaning a room today it completely shut off with no rhyme or reason.

It has a build in clog protector. Once the machine starts to overheat due to a clog, it should shut off to prevent burn out. Unplug the unit, Make sure there are no clogs, sometimes even the smallest clog does not seem major but remove them. Also, make sure cannesters are all connected proper and tight. Good luck!

Switched off mid cleaning

Unplug from power and remove the screws from the back of the upright handle - slide the handle back to remove. look for the wire that came off the connector. probably right at the power switch. Hope it helps.
