Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I have a hp dv6000 laptop wont bootup just keeps looping the lights come on the cd for a few and then the blues light come on then it just keep doing it over and over cant even get in the bios
Odds are that your problem is with the nvidia graphics card that is soldered on the motherboard. This has been a recurring problem on a lot of the Dell, HP and Apple computers. Try these links to read articles about the nvidia problem.
After reading throught he articles, remember your computer might qualify to be fixed free by HP. Here's a link to look at the model#, serial# and part# located on the bottom of your laptop to see if it is covered by the extended warranty they did to cover the nvidia problem.
Here's a link to check the old warranty because the extended warranty is only good for 24 months after the old original warranty expires.
Finally if all fails, it should cost no more than $175 to repair the laptop. The guys listed by this link are a good source for the repairs. http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com

This problem can be caused by several faults with the machine. I would try some new memory sticks first.
