Open Control Panel, select Power Options, set to High Performance, select Change Plan settings, under Plugged In set Sleep to Never, select Change Advanced Power settings, go through the settings one by one set Sleep and Hibernate to Never. Always shut down your machine when not in use to prevent damage due to power surges, a reboot every day will reset the computer. Not to mention the hardware will last longer. Take a look at this procedure: http://windows.about.com/od/customizingwindows/ss/set_power_options_all.htm

If you don't know how to open the Tower of your computer and if you don't know how to do some technical stuff, then I suggest to get it serviced.

DX4300-05 How to open Gateway panels

1) Jaws of Life.

2) Acetylene torch

OH, I'M JUST KIDDIN'!

Gateway Support > DX4300 series of Desktop PC > Main Support page,

http://support.gateway.com/us/en/s/desktop/2009/gateway/dx/dx4300/DX4300nv.shtml

http://support.gateway.com/s/desktop/2009/gateway/dx/dx4300/DX4300rv.shtml

Looking at the Front of the computer, is how you determine Right side, and Left side.
The Right side removes with two screws, as far as I can see.

The Left side is a little harder to tell.

Gateway Support is of no help on this one. At least that I have found. Not in User Manual, because it's generic. One size fit's all.

However looking at the Rear View, it looks like the usual style to me.
Hard to make out though, because it's painted Black.

ON the back edge of the Left Side Panel, appears to be a Thumbscrew.
Even with centerline of Power Supply fan.

But there also appears to be a type of flip lock.
Or should state; push over to the inside; a little.

Then using the Fingerpull molded handle on the Left Side Panel, pull the side panel back.

Usually there are Slots in the metal frame, of the computer case.
The side panel has Tabs that stick out, with hooked end.
Along the top, and/or along the bottom.

You pull the side panel back until it stops, then move back forward about an inch, or so. Then bring the side panel straight out.

No?
Then post back what you see, and we'll try to figure it out together.

Post back in a Comment.

How to connect a dynex (dx-e402)router to linksys (befsr41) router

Configure the dynex on another computer that is not connected to the linksys router.
Assuming that your linksys is currently setup as 192.168.1.1
Turn off DHCP on the dynex and setup the IP to 192.168.1.2 subnet mask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1
use a cross over cable and plug each ends to the LAN port on port routers.
you should now be able to ping 192.168.1.2 (dynex router) from your other computers on the linksys router network.
any computer that is connected to the dynex should be able to get a dhcp address from the linksys router.

Gateway GM 5266E

Turn off the computer.

It should remain off at that point.

If the computer keeps comming back on , you need to do some more configuration

such as ( do not wake up on USP device ) that may be in your computers bios settings.

also check your settings in windows , ( do not allow this device to wake the computer up from suspend )

You'll figure it out !
