FX 700 Problem (by 2 users)

I just got a FX 700 for my 4840 and for some strange reason the controls
on it do not function. I installed the soware that came with the thing,
no luck, I even did a QR which is neither quick nor a restore. Anyone
had the same prob?

I have a 4860 and a FX700.
You need a UBS cable between the computer and your screen. The cable should
be delivered in the screen-box. (see users guide; problem nr.1).

Does both the volume and the easy access buttons not work? only the volume?
only the buttons? If only the volume works, make sure you have the USB cable
going from the monitor to the computer pluged in. If only the buttons work,
have you installed another video card? The volume control won't work with
another video card. If both don't work, i don't know. By the way, i have an
fx500 and a 4840.
