I have a p.c which is a few years old works with windows xp..I've noticed that now after about an hour the screen goes off even though processor still running, normally have to unplug & try again..any...

there may be a short somewhere in the connecter that goes to your monitor. If it's the monitor itself.... Time to get another screen. you can take it in for repair but, thats expensive... Your better off getting a new one, or you can have a hand me down. thats always easy to find.
Good Luck with your issues, may they be resolved swiftly! :-D

Windows Vista w/Samsung 19" monitor

Used to be CTRL and ALT and one of the directional arrows in xP (the numeric pad ones)
If you have a video card like Nvidia, and say Vista is the OS, try going to Control panel / Nvidia Control panel (or whatever your GFX card is) and the option to rotate is in there)

I install window 7 but my benq 15" lcd monitar's screen rosuation not competible. pls guide me how i increase the rosulation thnx

As for your 15" LCD BENQ Monitor, "1024 x 768" pixels is the Maximum Resolution
If you increase your screen higher than the Maximum resolution you get a black screen! because the monitor cannot support the resolution higher than "1024x768" pixels.

How to change your screen resolution Win 7-> Link

FYI
Here are typical resolutions for some popular screen sizes
19-inch screen (standard ratio): 1280 x 1024 pixels
20-inch screen (standard ratio): 1600 x 1200 pixels
22-inch screen (widescreen): 1680 x 1050 pixels
24-inch screen (widescreen): 1900 x 1200 pixels

Hope it helps.

I have a compaq hp hardrive trying to install a sylvania 19" Flat screen there is power to the screen but no picture. whta do i need to do to get it running

The first thing to do is to make sure all cables are plugged in tight, all of the power cables and the cable to the pc. This seems to be too simple but it fixes the problem most of the time.

If the monitor still doesn't come on you have to determine which component is not working.

To determine if the monitor works then plug it into a computer that is known to work. If the monitor comes on then it works. again very simple but thorough. If the monitor does not work then you have a bad monitor.

To determine if there is a problem with the computer then plug in a monitor in that you know works. If you still do not get an image on the screen then the component in the PC is broken. If you get an image then something is wrong with your new monitor.

Monitors

Your monitor's driver is probably corrupt. You need to go to the manufacturer's website, and redownload it.
