Re: help please stuck in service menu

You should have purchaced the service manual before you went into the sevice mode, as the service mode is a dangerous place to be if you do not know anything about it. You can get the service manual from for about 20 bucks or so. A lot less expensive then a serviuce call I would think.

Re: help please stuck in service menu

Techman, I have the following details into Service Mode: 15.1 Quick entry to service mode: TOP PREVIOUS NEXT When minor adjustments need to be done to the electronic controls, the method for entering the service mode without removal of the cabinet back is as follows, using the remote control: Select SET-UP icon, enter ?Program CH? and select CABLE mode in ?Input Setup? option. Select TIMER icon and set SLEEP time for 30 Min. Press ?OK? then VOL up to exit menus. Tune to the Channel 124. Adjust VOLUME to minimum (0). Press VOL ← (decrease) on receiver. Red ?CHK? appears in upper corner. To toggle between aging and service modes: While the ?CHK? is displayed on the left top corner of the CRT, pressing ?OK? and ?VOL? UP on the TV simultaneously will toggle between the modes. Red ?CHK? for service modeand yellow ?CHK? for aging. Press POWER on the remote control to display the service adjustment modes menu, select adjustment by pressing the VOL right/left buttons and CH up/down buttons on the remote and OK to enter the adjustment. Service mode menu TOP PREVIOUS NEXT Have you gotten this to work?

Green convergance wont adjust, bowed screen

Green really shouldn't be adjusted, you adjust red and blue to the green. When a color is bowed that indicates that a part or two are bad, probably the convergence output IC's and possibly a fuse or fusible resister. You may need a tech to come adjust it for you because after replacing IC's the adjustments should be done in the servicers menus not just in the consumers menus.

The text on my tv is crooked. dont know how to fix it

Thats the skew adjustment in the service menu. But I dont recomend adjusting anything in the service menua unless you have the service manual in hand and read the info on the adjustments as you can really messs the set up without it. If you dont have the service manual you can get one at the following link, They will email it to you within minutes its 13.99 and well worth the price when youre doing anything within the service menu. Here's the link.

CCA Values For Samsung TV

With the TV off, you need to push

Mute-1-8-2-Power very fast. just wait and it will show up.

If the tv is on press Power-mute-1-8-2-Power and it will show up as well. Good luck, I am still trying to fix the CCA values myself. When you get in the Service Menu, just use the arrows to get around and to get back use the menu key.....

If you have a problem with the convergence, believe me, going into the service menu and trying to correct it will only give you large headaches, DO NOT USE THR SERVICE MENU UNLESS YOU ARE A TRAINED TECH!!!! Doing so can result in a complete and total failure of this TV set. I service menu is not for any major changes in any adjustment. It is not the cure all. If your convergence all of a suddenly shifted, it is not a service menu issue. Your problem is the convergence amp IC's. Good Luck

Philips 55PW9363 Service Menu - Geometry settings help, picture shifting at times???

If you are doing the labor you should wait and replace the new part and while you are at it check for loose conections in the horizontal drive circuit since all symptoms might be related, but they are doing all the work they should address all the problems you have, settings in the service menu dont just change on their own and are adjusted only when a major comp[onent has been change like the convergence.

Convergence adjustments codes with remote control

If your talking about a service menu, NEVER ever unless you have the service manual, go into the service menu and change anything to try to fix a problem the service menu is there to adjust sets at instalationsd and not when a problem, occours and when theres a smell. common sense tells you something is wrong and burnt up. So how is a service menu that you have no clue what to do with going to help you fix a set? Im sorry man but wake up and smell the coffee. what makes you a service tech after your set breaks down.,. Oh by the way there is NO such thing as a "CODE" to fix anything in your set. There is a service menu with settings to adjust things like convergence and vertical and tunning of channels, ect ect. Get a manual and follow it if you want to try a "code". you can get one at http://www.service Then you will need to call a tech as your set is a solid state set with No user replaceable parts inside them. Please dont risk your life trying to fix a TV set as there is a lot of High Voltage inside these sets even when they are unplugged.
