Question about Sony KP-57WS500 57" Rear Projection Television
We have had this television for a while but never had issues until recently. We can watch television and after a while the picture starts to lighten up and then the screen flashes blue and shuts off. Can anyone shed light on this issue? is it worth calling a repairman out or should we just shop for a new television. This is a 60" Sony rear projection television.
Before you trash the set try this link
I got it from another post from mmranch
I had the same problem, followed the instructions on the link and now my set is like new.

This is most likely a short in the screen grid of the crt open the front lower under speaker cover and adjust the blue screen control .. turn it down with tv on might solve the problem
