When i started my laptop the adapter is not showing in device list, when i deleted all network devices from the list and restart the laptop and searches thru system bios setup then this will work for one...

Donot use an extension cable or a USB hub. Connect the wireless adapter directly to the computer. Try with different USB ports on the computer. Try updating the latest driver. Check it with a different computer so that we can isolate if it is the issue with the computer.

I am having trouble connecting my son's acer aspire to our wireless network it shows the name of the network but wont show in the available wireless in range any advise?

Is your wireless card on your laptop enabled? Are you able to see any wireless networks whether or not they are yours? Does your wireless router have an encryption key set up? Your question is pretty broad, some specifics would help narrow down the problem.

The laptop can no longer find my wireless network. Keeps telling me to turn on wireless button but it is on...

Hi,
your laptop must have the wireless switch,
come times it shows that it is ON but actually it is not ON.
you can try restarting the laptop.
if that doesn't work then you can try to change the wireless channel on the router.
for that you will need to access the router set up.

I have a balance 557s laptop that the wireless wont work it shows the icon with a red x wont turn on when you push the wireless button

Sometimes when you get a red x against the wireless icon, it means the wireless card did not get an IP address from the wireless router or the router needs resetting.
To get the router to issue a new IP address to the laptop, right click on the wireless icon and click on Repair.
If this doesn't work, power off thr router for 30 secs and power up the router, wait till the LEDs on the router are on then boot up the laptop or do a Repair on the wireless icon.

It does not show wireless icon at all

(Post ur Operating System along with the problem and the Brand name of ur laptop)

Chk whether the wireless is turned On or not.
Certain laptops requires manual command from the user to turn on the wireless.

If possible try to remove the wireless from ur laptop and try to re-install it and re-install the drivers also.

Wireless wont work wont come up

Do you mean it won't show up at the bottom when connected or it won't show up at all (so you can't connect)

if it's not there at all, then its probably switched off, look for a switch or a button on your laptop (if it is a laptop) to turn it on.

If its not a laptop then make sure your dongle is installed properly.

If its none of these then can you be a little more specific with your question please

D-link

Is the wireless enabled for your router? Try typing 192.168.0.1 and use the default password to access your router settings. Check if wireless is enabled, SSID is broadcasted, and security is off or properly configured.
