Question about Ricoh Aficio CL2000N Laser Printer
I am getting a series of thin lines running along the left side of every printed page on my Ricoh Aficio CL2000N. What part needs to be replaced?
This is almost certainly the PCU. There are two. One for Black. One for Color. Print a B/W page and see if there are lines. Print a color test page and see if there are lines. This happens a lot to these printers.
To verify, carefully remove the suspect PCU and look at the bottom of it (the shiny roller) Be careful not to spill toner !! You will see the lines on the PCU itself. Replace the bad PCU. If it is the color one, and you are low on toner, you may be better off replacing the printer due to cost.

Like it was already mentioned... 1st if it's just one of the colors then it's probably the pcu for that color. If it's on all colors it's probably either the fuser or maybe some toner spilled on the laser unit. In either case you may have to have a regular tech look at it.

Printing B&W? Colour? or both?
Depending on your answer, replace the applicable Photoconductor.
