When I press the power switch, the green light comes on for about 2 seconds then it starts flashing red.

I'm afraid you need a new Power Supplies Unit. Just try an old trick first. Remove power cord from the back of PC. Press power button and keep it pressed for good 30 seconds. Then reconnect power cord and try to start as normal. If this don't work I'm afraid your PSU is dead. Good Luck

Coolmaster 500w power supply

First check, using a voltmeter, to see if your power supply is working. Secondly, if it is, then reseat your boards and check all connections (internal and external) and try again. Lastly it could be as simple as the on switch is broken. By shorting the pins on the board where the on switch connects you can by pass this to determine if it is the switich. This should reveal your problem. Tango.
