You will need to see if you run the self diagnostics found in the=> Service Manual The problem with the damper could be caused by a defective thermistor, ice build up or just a defective damper. Your model uses the=> WR09X10050 Damper with Thermistor Assembly Running diagnostics wil help you to locate the problem better if you can read and do the from the Service Manual. I am here if you have questions, Sea Breeze
Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start. Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay. Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.
Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm
Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running. It blows cold air into the fridge side through a damper in the wall between the freezer and fridge. Make sure the damper is open.
Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).
warm between doors is normal. if hot then clean coils and if coils clean make sure condenser fan motor working thats the fan in the back compartment, however if warm thats good. did the evaporator coil freeze from top to btm is that why u replaced heater. if it was then could be heater,if the coil is only getting frost on half the coil, you could have a sealed system problem. is the evaporator motor working in the frz side if not, then that could be the problem.if coil is froze up it needs to be defrosted. did you defrost coil when you replaced heater,if not try defrosting coils and then wait about 12 hrs and see how it does.
Hi: . In the warm weather your freezer can warm. I don't mean just frozen. Your freezer has to be at 0 degrees to harvest ice. Ice cream should be rock hard. Set your freezer colder and don't trust cheap thermometers. Also don't do the human thing and check the freezer every 30 minutes to see if ice is made. It will take 24hrs at zero degrees and opening the freezer a lot will not help matters. Hope this helps, Jeff This happens to me every summer. The ice maker will stop or slow.

check the condenser at the bottom part from the front grill. could clogged with dirt. remove the dirt and check the compressor and condenser fan at the back side if they are running. it should be running.
if the compressor is very hot, un plug it for 4 hours and test it again. put the cover back at the back side if you would test it again.
Should be no longer than 24hrs. Is the freezer good and cold.. has to reach a certain temp before icemaker activates.
Might take little longer if you put a lot of warm things in freezer or refrig. when you made the change.
Is there any water or ice in the icemaker itself? Water may not be getting to icemaker
call them back out if it dont work soon thats what warrantys for :0)
