Question about Washing Machines
When I push the start button to start the cycle (any cycle) all the lights flash on the lights panel! and the machine wont run, this is the panel where u can adjust the spin speed and tmperture
can you help the machine was purchased in september/october 2007
oh by the way the phone number on the front of themachine isnt in existance as in the number is not recognised
Glenys Machine goes through wash cycle ok but flashes 1200 spin and timer saver before it gets to rinse. Turned power off and put onto spin cycle which worked on one occasion but again wouldn't drain. Makes all the sounds but no action. Lights on but definitely nobody home! Got 5 year guarantee on parts but I guess I'll get super charge for engineer to call out.
It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!

a 6ya Repairman can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Repairman (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

I looked at the pipes that lead into the washing machine (HD vision) the water pipe was kinked!
Solved the problem myself, just took some lateral thinking haha
not bad for a female eh
