Ms execl is not opening in my laptop

Mr Jagjit , you have some errors in the operating software which is the windows 7. It is possible that some virus has crept into your system and taken some of the files.
If you can open the control panel and then the back up / restore window , then check the restore date on your OS installation and reset.
If this wont work you will need to use the recovery disk or reinstall the OS and the drivers of the Lenova.

Vista has many problems.
I dumped Vista and reinstall Windows XP, and install Open Office, it is free on the internet.
You just have to remember to save any file from Open Office with a MS extension.

Hey, yeah i tried the same thing when I got a similar new laptop. I'm not sure if there are drivers, honestly, I could not get it working or find any either.
Then I downloaded Mandriva Linux, and pretty much everything is working great.

Besides, MS is discontinuing service and updates for XP around the end of the month, permanently.

you have to use a standard windows start up disk with cd rom support like win 98 works well so the computer will recognize a older version then insert it and boot the computer with the operating system that u want to install but be advised if you have a warranty on the machine you will void the waranty i found out the hard way i had xp on my toshiba laptop and i put windows me on it couple of months later i had a cd rom issue and sent it to the manufacture and found out that the waranty was voided because i put a different operating system on the machine
