How to open cd drive of a Acer aspire e 15

Hi
I would suggest that you load My Computer and in the left hand pane where it shows the drives, right click on the CD drive letter and in the menu that appears, click on "eject" and the draw should open.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

Stuck cd in laptop?

Thank you for choosing FixYa.com to solve your laptop CDROM drive problem. In order to give you a correct solution, please respond back to me with what make and model (i.e. Dell Latitude D820) of laptop you have. Also please let me know if the CDROM drive is the kind with a disc tray which slides in and out or if it is the kind where you insert the CD into a slot in the side of your computer. Please also explain what you mean when you say "the drive itself came out"
When I have that information, I can be much more helpful. Thank you!

I have purchased Learning Quik Books and Quik books Pro 2010. I inserted disc for Learning. The written directions on packet state going to D (CD-ROM drive). I am novice computer person and do not have a...

Unless you have changed the drive letter assignments, the C: drive is your hard disk with the operating system and applications. Drive D: is the optical disc drive. The directions merely mean: open the file explorer (My Computer (WinXP) or Computer (Vista)) and double click on the optical drive with the Learning Quickbooks CD. (The booklet for the CD assumes that auto-run isn't being used. In that case, you wouldn't need the drive letter information. It may be that they didn't include auto-run to make it easier to go through the tutorials and restart at different points.) Once you have the file explorer open for the CD, follow the rest of the directions from the booklet.

I hope this helps.

Hp probook 4510s cannot get cd tray open

Maryar,
The tray may have got stuck. It happens. What you can do is look for a small hole on the face of the drive, either on the tray front or just below it. Insert a paper pin through it. The pin will press a lever which will open the tray. If you do it a few times the tray may get unstuck finally. Hopefully.

I cant play a disc or DVD

Hello,

Please try to reboot your laptop then go to CMOS Settings and detect the CD/DVD Rom and try to see if it is detected by your system. If it is detect ted then exit CMOS Settings and then load the Operating system you have and ope the DVD/CD Rom you have. But if it does not detect the DVD/CD Rom then i advice you to find a computer technician to help you fix the problem cause hardware problem is the main reason why it does not detect the disk drive you have, its either the connection bus is not properly plug or the Disk drive is damage or not functioning well.

Thanks

How to format acer aspire 4710 with xp

actually there is no need to touch anything in hardware please do not touch ur hardware without any reason i know what eactly is the solution is now follow this :

Problem : When Windows XP was made there was no concept of SATA drives now ur drive is SATA and ur installation disc does not contain drivers for ur Hard disk thats why it is unable to find ur hard disk as it doesnt recognize it u need sata raid drivers on ur windows inst cd

Solution:

this specific model Aspire 4710 was shipped with vista OS and drivers now u are downgrading it to XP it depends on the installation disc if it is new one like SP3 included then u would have never faced this issue in ur case u should get a RAID driver from www.intel.com and then include them in ur copy of windows XP cd to load them at the startup of installation , so u need them in the first place to carry out installation, u have to do some job here download RAID DRIVERS from www.intel.com select ur board and chipset Mobile Intel® 945GM Express download SATA RAID DRIVERS and then download nlite a software used to integrate these drivers to ur inst disk , u can also include SP3 thru this software in ur current win xp cd

http://www.nliteos.com/

just download sata drivers from intel and nlite from the link and install the software integrate these drivers and burn ur cd incl them and then install normally as u were installing them earlier now it will recognize ur drive simple for more info how to do check this out

Stop: C0000135{unable to locate component}

I believe that definitely your hard drive is bad and needs to be replaced. Also going by what you are saying here, your cd rom could be bad. If it is still working though, then most likely the reason that your computer isn't finding it or cannot boot from it, is because, due to your hard drive being bad, your computer cannot access the drivers to your cd, thus making it undetectable. Thanks
