Clean your coils first, if they are dirty from dog hair or lint in general it will overheat compressor and cause temps to fluctuate

We have a FRS-U20FA

The water dispenser tube has a low wattage element to prevent the water from freezing in the tube. its normal. Check to see if the evaporator fan is running. Open the freezer door and when the fridge is running, press the switch on the side wall. The freezer light should go out and then you should hear the fan running at the back of the freezer compartment. Common symptoms of a failed fan is ice growing down the back of the freezer compartment , poor refrigeration in the food compartment and partial or poor freezing of food in the freezer. If the fridge is less than 2 years old, it will be under warranty. (Contact Castel Electronics in Melbourne 13
00733962) If its over, they can give you the name and number of a local agent. There are a lot of bits and pieces to remove to get to the fan on an ice and water model, also the rear panel inside the freezer should be removed to make sure ice hasn't blocked the air ducts. If you are not confident in doing it, get one of their agents to sort it out. Cost of fan motor, call and labour should be around $200 to $220

Refrigerator not very cold, even though temp is set at coolest temp. Freezer operating fine. What is wrong?

Your unit has a defrost problem, it is common, and every refrigerator will do this at least once in its life time. If you have never worked on the unit before, its time to call for service. I call assist you if you choose to do the repair your self. I will need a model number to give you a step by step instructions.
Good Luck

Our Transtherm Castel wine cooler is constantly accumulating ice along the top and bottom in the inside back of the unit. Is there any way to prevent this.

There is an air leak, cold is sucking in air from a faulty seal either at the back of the unit check any obvious joints or door seals are faulty?

My Transtherm Castle wine cabinet has accumulated ice in the lower chilling compartment, I need to know what is involved in thawing/defrosting the cabinet.

Check the thermostat setting; it may be set too high. If lowering the setting does not solve the problem, replace the thermostat.
P.S. The thermostat is what controls the temperature.

Kenmore mini fridge freezes all contents even when set on lowest setting 1

three things you have to check your defrost timer, your defrost thermostat, and your defrost heater you would need to use a multimeter on all three of these and check for continuity between each side of the terminal ends the one that gives you no continuity is the one that you would need to replace hope this helps

What is the operating tempreture at mid range setting & coldest setting

There is no certain temp at mid range . If there was , I'd say 40 degrees . If there was a certain temp , at any setting , then there would be no need for a thermostat , only an on/off switch . The mid-range , is set by the factory , as a normal operating temp , to keep food safe . However , some people like their milk colder , so , they turn the thermostat higher . Like milk warmer , turn down the thermostat . Basically , the settings are a personal preference of the temperature you like your food .

COOLER TEMP CONTROL SEEMS NOT TO BE WORKING.  TEMP GOES DOWN TO 42 AND STAYS THERE.

thats because 42 degrees is the optimum temperature for wine to be at. unlike other beverages wine coolers only go to 42 degrees.
