Vertical lines in my laptop screen
Hello! I've been using my Compaq Presario (M2223AP) Laptop for 2 years now, then all of a sudden I saw 2 vertical lines on the screen. 1 line is a clear red line (but not so thick & dark) located about 1/3 from the left of the screen while the other is a very faint (thin, almost transparent) line located about 1/5 from the right of the screen. I think it might be a monitor problem. I'm not very good in fixing computers so I have not done anything about it yet. I'd appreciate your help very much. Thanks!

Hi, that sounds like the integerated video graphics is going bad and it's not actually the screen. the zd7000's were known for video graphics failure. there was a lawsuit filed against hp for the zd models about a year ago to get a free motherboard replacement because of the video issue but it's too late to send it in now for the free repair. the zd models don't have a replacable video card in them like most laptops which the only way to fix the problem ould be to purchase another motherboard, you could try ebay but they're not that cheap.
