Iphone won't charge from eton solarlink - Eton FR370 Solarlink Radio Red

you should probably go to the store were you bought it and see what is the matter and I don't know what this is but see what they can do and if they cant fix it then you might either have to go without sound or get another one

If your iPhone's battery runs very far down, the iPhone won't turn on. That's because it's using its remaining battery life to preserve your data and settings.So, your iPhone could be refusing to turn on because its battery doesn't have enough juice. In that case, plug your iPhone into a wall charger or into your computer (plug it directly into the computer; some USB ports on keyboards don't have enough power to charge iPhones). Let it sit for 10-20 minutes. If it was low on battery and needed a charge, when it's got enough juice to power the screen, it will turn on and show you its charging status, starting with the red battery icon.During this process, you may also want to make sure there's no lint packed into your cable or the iPhone's dock connector. This isn't a hugely common problem, but a lot of pocket lint could interfere with the iPhone getting a charge.

This radio doesn't have the facility to be programmed for your local weather county code.

When set to alert it will pickup on the strongest alert signal in your area.

I had the same problem so I sent an email to Eton's customer service, this was their response and it worked for me:
Please use the following procedure to reset it. Please remove your AAA batteries and unplug the rechargeable battery. Let the radio sit for 30 to 45 minutes, then put them back in. To play it from the AAAs press and release BATT first, then POWER. To play if from the rechargeable, first press DYN/SOL, then turn the crank for 90 seconds, then press and release POWER.

To charge the unit with an AC adapter, plug in the AC adapter, press the DYN/SOL button and make sure that it reads SOL/DYN in the lower right corner of the display. Let it charge for about 8 hours. Make sure that it still says SOL/DYN and press the POWER button. It should play for about 5 to 6 hours, depending on the volume.
