click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question or exclamation mark ! ? or red x right click to re-install drivers

1st u say what type of motherboard u use......
open ur xpsp2 then install sound driver
setup ....then cancel then wait ...restart

hallow dude lookin for audeo drivers or sound drivers you can download it from this website

there is the problem, i build computers and many new motherboards integrated sound chips will not work with XP. Typically the "azalia" sound chip only works with vista. Two ways round this are:
download windows xp service pack 1 from ms website and install it, then the sound chip will/may work. i have had some success with this. the other option which i tend to go for as it is easier quicker,cheaper,disable on board sound chip, plug in a pci slot fitting sound card, job done

are you all running vista or xp ? if xp this sound chip will only work with sp1 installed as it is designed for vista
