Question about Intel Motherboard
I have this old intel celeron processor 564 mhz, 128 mb of ram but it has no manual how do I check if I can install this 512 mb ddr2 pc5300/4200 (667/533 mhz) without killing it?
564 mhz means it is a Pentium 3 or equivalent. This also means that the motherboard does not support DDR2 RAM which is exclusively for Socket 775 and Pentium 4 chipsets. Pentium 3 usually support SD-RAM, also but very rarely DDR1 RAM. Sorry but DDR2 will not work in your PC.
