Question about Lexmark Wireless X4850 All-In-One Inkjet Printer

1 Answer

Power button I just set up my lexmark x4860 scanner and printer for the 1st time (by the way my very first computor). So, I don't know what I am doing. My question. The power button is glowing on and off. Is this normal or is there a problem, and if it is glowing and there is no problem isn't this using electricity? Would be very interested in infromation. Thank you.

This probably indicates your printer is in power saver mode. Some power is being used to flash the light, but less than if it was 'on'.

I can not get my printer lexmark 2670 to scan when i push the button on top. it was working then just stopped

Can you try to make a copy using the copy button on the printer operator panel? If you're not able to make a copy, it could be hardware problem in the scanner/copier system. You can try to unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. Then try to scan or copy again using the buttons on the printer. If problem continues, please don't hesitate to contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

It probably is unlocked, as you did this when you first set it up.
Here's a link to the setup sheet. It's in step 4.

The amber lights are blinking next to the printer icons and exclamation points on top of the printer. How do i get that to stop so my print job can go through?

There 3 light on the printer that able to indicate to user when problem occur.
37d307a.jpg
1st button light blink rapidly = the printer may be out of paper, so load more paper and press the 1st button itself to continue. Or may be paper jam is occur, so clear the paper jam and press the 1st button light itself to continue.

If 1st button light blink slowly = mean the cartridge carriers are stuck, so raise the scanner unit and remove any object blocking the path of the cartridge carrier, make sure the cartridge are closed and installed properly, then lift the scanner unit, gently push the scanner support towards the cartridge carriers, and carefully lower the scanner unit until it is completely closed. After that press the 1st button itself to continue.

If 2nd LED light blinking = the color cartridge need to be replaced soon.

If 2nd LED light is ON = the color cartridge need to be replaced immediately.

If 3rd LED light blinking = the black cartridge need to be replaced soon.

If 3rd LED light is ON = the black cartridge need to be replaced immediately.

Lexmark x75 printer/scanner

This printer/scanner, hooks up to the computer via USB. The USB cable goes into the back of the printer on the right hand side (opposite side from the power supply). The status blinking could indicate either; 1. No paper 2. No or very little, ink.

Small printing on paper

It may be that you have the wrong printer driver. You can download the latest version at http://www.lexmark.com Also, you can check the printer as a standalone by using the menu and testing a configuration page. If it still prints small then it is in the printer. If not your computor may be the problem.
