We just bought a used truck with the acic-3 in it. The maps and radio stations are all programed with someone elses informatuon. We would like to do our own. We do not have a manual and would like to know how to delete everything and start over. Thanks for any help we can get.

see if there is a local/distant selector on your unit. It will make it so your radio will only let you find very strong stations, also check your antenna connection to make sure it is pushed all the way into the connector and is clean of corrosion or anything that could keep it from making good contact inside of the connection, you can use steel wool or scotchbrite pads on the surfaces to ensure a good connection.
Here's the solution from the JVC Customer Service. BE WARNED: this will wipe out all your customizations, including but not limited to favorite addresses and radio station names.
"As for turning off the message about the maps on the radio, please follow the next steps.- Please follow this procedure to perform a factory reset and remove the message. 1. Turn ON the radio 2. Set the Source to "Tuner" mode 3. Simultaneously press and hold the [Disp], [Map] and [Down] buttons for more than 2 seconds - You must press the buttons in that order 4. When the "Service Menu" Screen appears you may release the buttons 5. Touch the UP/DOWN arrows to highlight "Initialize All" 6. Touch [Enter] to initialize the unit 7. The unit will be initialized and the unit will reset on its own. "
Hopefully you have a remote control for this unit. There is a FM select button. It's to turn on the FM modulator. When you press the button it will select different radio stations on the FM band. Once you select a station on the DVD, tune your vehicle radio station to the same and you will be able to hear the sound. Use this system to select the station with the best reception and less interference. If no remote is available, there may be a FM button on the DVD player to perform the same function.
I would assume that this Jensen should store stations much like other cars. Find the radio station you want, press and Hold the button in until you hear the radio start again. Note- If you installed the radio your self and didn't hook up the power correct, the programed radio stations will be lost when the vehicle is shut off! Hope this helps!
Try tuning it in manually then press and hold the relevant preset button till it beeps or stores the frequency. I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply and remember, even if you don't vote for me a please and thank you goes a long way.
I don't know if this can help but try the following:
1- press the RPT/NAV Button untill you hear the beep.
2- hold the config button for arround 30 or 40s until you heard the beep, now a new config screen is opened.
3- try the 3rd button on the right as i remember, you will open a new screen where you can adjust the distance and the number of pulse(related to the Vehicle Speed Sensor).
4- don't try to mess with anything else like Memery clear or program Clear or anything else or i beleive you will lose the programming.
