I tried to install the door by positioning the the door brackets to the first stop. However, when i insert the brackets into the slot they snap back to the closed position before I can place the brackets over the pins. What am I doing wrong?

Pull the door mount bars to the first stop--where you keep the door open to broil. Slide the door back down on the bars.

How to remove a Maytag gas stove oven door (Maytag Model # MGR5755Qwd)

Hi.

Before removing the door you need to release the lock on the oven door hinges. Door hinge locks are slide mechanisms or pins located on top of the hinges Once lock is released you will be able to pull out the door by opening it a bit, then lifting it up and pulling out.

Here parts and diagrams for your oven: MGR5755QDW.

Regards.

I have a black Maytag Gas Range stove the oven wont heat up. The ignition what i think it is, is glowing but when I tap the bottom of the stove it will light. What part do I need and where can I get it....

Hi

This means a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

MGR5765QDQ oven will not heat up. Broiler and stove top work fine. I can hear igniting switch click, but no flame up when the oven is turned on.

Maytag gas oven won't hold temperature after 30 minutes of use

The Oven safety valve. Look for it on the base plate below your ignitor. It is a the end of the burner manifold and has 2 wires to it Check it quickly by getting to the point where it acts up. But first, Connect a voltmeter to the 2 wires (if you can with them still connected to the safety valve. When it ignites the voltage will be present. Let it cycle off like you described. Now watch it as it tries to come back on. If you get a voltage reading now that indicates everything else is working and the valve is not opening like it should in other words with the voltage to the gas valve and the ignitor glowing you should have a flame. I assume the ignitor comes back on.

If this helped you please rate me as high as you can. If it did not please restate what problem your having and help me to understand it better. Thank you for using fixya and good luck.

Handles fell off of the top oven door on maytag gemini glass top

Open the door a few inches, to the first hold-open stage. Lift the door upward & off the mounting bars. There will be screws along the bottom edge.
