Just run a regular cycle with white vinegar in a cup with the dishwasher empty.

Why machine sewing run so slow

If it's an older mechanical machine (not computerized), it very likely needs a thorough cleaning and oiling.

Pfaff 297-1 sewing machine runs very slow.

Your machine appears to be mechanical, not computerized. If so, more than likely your machine needs a thorough cleaning and oiling.

Might be best to take it for a standard service.

If you have the patience and time, you can try fixing it yourself. Consult your owner's manual, clean as instructed, and using Fresh good quality sewing machine oil, apply 1-2 drops as directed.

In the future, be sure to clean and oil regularly (every 40 hours of sewing, every 6 months if not in use). Use ONLY fresh good quality sewing machine oil, applying 1-2 drops of oil each spot. Consult the owner's manual for instructions.

How do you oil the singer xl.1000

You should never oil a computerized (electronic) sewing machine. You do need to clean the lint from it at intervals. Singer has the instruction manual available on their support site: http://www.singerco.com/support/instruction-manuals . The direct link to the manual is http://www.singerco.com/uploads/download/8332a66e46ddc22f7bc62f0139bf8fbd03c55b23.pdf . See page 113 (114 of the PDF) for the cleaning information.

I hope this helps.

(I have used mechanical sewing machines which need regular oiling and greasing. The computerized systems are pre-lubricated at the factory and that lubrication should last the machine's lifetime.)

The wheel is completely stck and will not turn. I was sewing and everything was fine and then all of sudden this happened...i took apart and cleaned....can't figure it out.

Check the top shaft bearings. Have similar problem on another computerized model. Top right bearing was completely stuck. Using Liquid Wrench to unfreeze it. Afterwards use sintered bearing oil like Tri-Flow to lubricate bearing.

I have a Janome Magnolia 7330. How do you open it up to clean and oil it?

If it is computerized, they are generally sealed so they cannot be opened by the user. There are computerized components that could easily be damaged. The manual should have instructions how to maintain your machine. AVOID using compressed air as it tends to push lint and dirt further into the machine where only a technician can clean.

Under the cover of your machine where the feet are stored, on the right side, front of your machine is a round button which controls the brightness of your display. It was probably moved during cleaning.

Have you tried removing the batteries and cartridge and re-intalling? Also I learned the pressure foot must be down for my izek to accept setting changes. Hope this helps.
