Problems using air card on laptop and adobe flash player10
I have been having problems with my lap top I use an air card through alltell wireless, the problem is I use a sight called Course Compass for on line math homework for college, when I try to pull up the math problems, It says I do not have the latest version of adobe flash, so I took my lap top back to Best Buy and he hooked it up to their online service or internet and had no problems, so the problem must be with using the wireless air card, is this the problem? is there something I can do to fix this?
Re: problems using air card on laptop and adobe flash...
Wow that is weird....
Short of calling Alltell and seeking help, I would try a different browser and see what happens. If you use IE, then go download Mozilla Firefox (making sure to get the latest adobe flash for Firefox afterwards,)

If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wirelessconnection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptopprobably did not get an IP address from the wireless router. To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and thenclick Repair. This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless cardon the laptop.
If you have installed the wireless card driver in your laptop then you need to configure this wireless card with the router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key.
The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings.
To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router'swireless settings configured ie SSID, WPA or WPA2 encryption key and also thewireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured withthese router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers cancommunicate with your wireless router.
you can buy a wireles linksys usb for your lap top and have a wireless router linksys stationary and the lap top usb ..... will pick up the signal for your lap top, i have a usb port linksys and it works great, but u do need a router in your home to pick up the signal
the easiest way to setup internet on the laptop, is to go to control panel, and launch the network setup wizard. this will enable you to setup a new network, and scan for a local area network connection. this will also give you access to the troubleshooter. to solve any connection problems or issues, should there be any. If your using a wireless method. Your PC must also be able to transmit/receive wireless Signals. If hardwired you,ll have to use the network setup wizard, as this will auto determine I.P And any other DNS settings et,c.
is your wireless card installed check in the installed devices section and see under network controllers if there is a wireless if not you'll need to run windows update via a lan and get the drivers if not find the support page for your laptop and download the drivers for the Wireless LAN card.
