Right now, I am running a ok system and I was just wondering if I could
get someone advice from the readers of this group. Since I got my whole
system stolen, I am trying to run a new one, so bare with the less than
great stuff. Right now, I am running..
Kenwood Krc3007 cd player
2 - Soundstream Reference 5.25 component sets
Infinity kappa 3 way 6x9's
I was wondering what kind of amp to run, I was thinking about a new
soundstream reference 405, since I plan to hook up either a 12w6 or 12
Solo.. any advice would be helpful. Oh yeah. this is going into a 95
integra hatch.

I don't see anything wrong with any of the stuff you listed below.
Soundstream makes great stuff, bar none! Infinity is a good brand too.
Your low model Kenwood cd player is your weakest link, but Kenwood too
is
a good brand. Did you check to see if the deck's signal clipped at full
volume? That, as far as I can see, would be the only problem you could
run into with the stuff you have.
I would definitely go with the Soundstream Reference 405. You could
power your whole system with it, plus it has built in crossovers so you
won't
have that expense. And lastly, I would go with either the JL Audio 12W6
or a
Soundstream SPL 12 in the subwoofer department.
