Leaky Dishwasher

I recently moved into a new house that has a brand new Magic Chef dishwasher. We haven't even had a chance to use it, but last night discovered water leaking from the bottom onto the floor. When I opened the door, there was about 3-4 inches of water inside. I baled as much of the (slimey) water out as I could, and that stopped the leak. Now afraid to run the dishwasher for fear that it might leak even worse.
