My dell IN 2020 M monitor goes off after 4-5 min...i tried reducing brightness to zero ...it worked just for one day but now again the same problem starts....plz give some suggestions...

Dear Kumar, First of all make sure your laptop is not getting extra heat?
and most probably this issue is with your Graphic Chip.
you have to take it to any hardware export.

PS: Its recommended to visit Dell Authorised Service Center, otherwise this issue is much sensitive and will keep coming after few days even after the chip replacement.

My hp monitor's colors are messed up.

Did you already try it on another PC?
Try new VGA cable?
Otherwise you may have to open it up and look inside for failed components.

Problem with Screen in Horizontally Reduced

Set the screen resolution on the computer to some place like 1024x768. Use the menu buttons to resize the screen screen.
If the monitor is not keeping the settings it can be an indication to get a new monitor.

Cant figure out color issue with computer.

Well...it's a Dell and even when it's well...it's still a Dell.
Have you tried the monitor on different system to eliminate the tower being the problem? Some have updated and/or rolled back drivers to help cure this problem, which seems to be a common issue with this LCD. Personally i think the contrast ratio is inadequate.
Good luck with your Delllll...

Pop up auto adjust in prograss

I had the same problem with my HP LCD. I'll turn on the monitor and it will run auto adjust and set everything to the max making the screen very bright. What I did was remove the button panel board and put it back. Everything works fine since then.

New Monitor in my computer using a xp profesional

Restart your system and keep tapping the F8 Key as soon as you start the system. you should be at an advanced OS options menu, select SafeMode with VGA and proceed to logon to windows. Once in windows, right click on your desktop > properties > Settings > reduce settings to 800x600 > click OK > restart system. Now the display should be back on the monitor. Now read the manual to understand the highest supported resolution for this monitor + set the same as mentioned before on your system.

Monitor lost contrast

The crackling noise will be the the inverter section cooking itself.
The power board is a BenQ manufactured part and this is common to a lot of LCD's.
Inside there are several small 8 pin IC's, one or 2 of these has possibly shorted out and died.
An easy repair, if you know what you are doing. If you are not familiar with the internals of an LCD though, I suggest you take it to a repair centre. The voltages inside can kill (even when it has been turned off)
