How to change the fuse in my oven

I have a Whirlpool RBS245PDS Electric Single Oven (in wall) - after we ran the cleaning cycle it will not heat up now. I read on a previosly posted question that they fixed this problem by changing the fuse. Can you tell me where it is and how to get to it?

Youll need to remove the unit form the cabinet and remove the back plate, its athermal fuse partnumber 9759243. not a glass type auto fuse. after yo uoredethepart it willbe easier to locate onthe back of unit. KILL THE POWER LIVE WIRES!!!

My whirlpool oven model RBD245 is locked after the self cleaning cycle, it does not heat up even if i open the latch with a tool?

Whirlpool have the self clean latch assembly solenoid go bad and wont return back to unlock the switch to tell the control is is no longer in self clean. Replace the self clean latch assembly or make sure the switch on the assembly is in the non self clean mode, If the oven starts working then you know the problem if it still doesn't work then there may be other issues.

After self-cleaning, oven will not heat. I waited at least an hour before I tried to pre-heat the oven and it will not heat.

There is a thermal fuse on the back of the oven that has blown, it is in series with the broil and bake elements so when it goes out neither element will work. You will have to pull the oven and take the back off. the fuse will be behind the rear panel. It usually has to red wires going to it. Once the fuse is replaced the oven should work fine. It is fairly common for this fuse to blow during the clean cycle due to a lack of air flow around the oven.

Oven wont heat

There is a temperature activated thermostat (TOD) that is located on the back of the oven that would explain the problem you are having. The part can be checked with an ohmmeter and should read 0 resistance if it is good. The part number is 9759243 if your model number in the description is accurate (RBS245PDS)

After using self cleaning function my oven had no power. Replaced the thermal relay and it worked fine. Now, we have run the self cleaning function once more and the oven died again. Is there another...

There is always going to be a problem whe you run your self clean feature. Your oven heats to over 800 degrees and this high heat takes out electronic parts.

Whirlpool 27" wall oven. no heat after self clean

Self cleaning features are not recommended by most appliance technicians. The ovens are not constructed satisfactorily to expel the 1000 degree heat, Therefore the thermal fuses blow as well as other parts failures.
Remove the oven. Remove the rear panel. Replace the thermal fuse in the back of the oven. Use Easy Off next time.

No power in heating elements

Check from your receptacle to the plug to the back of the oven. Then the wires that attach to the elements. Sounds like this is your problem. If this is not it, then you may have a bad board.

Cleaned oven now won't heat

Probably what happened is during cleaning cycle the oven overheated the tco (thermo cut off). This is a thermo-fuse that is located behind the control board. It will need to be replaced.
