Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
Once in awhile, when taking clothes out to put into the dryer we notice there is a pool of standing water in the bottom of the washer. I had to replace the motor and the plastic wash-out part recently because the plastic was cracked, so the problem is not caused by that. When the cycle is running, no error codes appear on the washer either. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Sounds as if you need to replace the water inlet valve. one ofthe solenoiidsis not closing properly allowing watyer to to trickle in when not in use, until you get thisfixed you can turn off water supply to unit in between washes

sounds like the drum is not revolving at all on the spin cycle Could be quite a No of things, ie belt off or broken, motor carbon brushes need replacing, timer fault, speed control module fault, or even a broken wire or loose connection somewhere etc etc.
Does it revolve on the WASH cycle? If so we can probably eliminate the above, in which case come back to me. Sorry no idea how much it will cost to fix. Have a look see what you find re above

Had the same issue with my Whirpool. If the clothes are getting hot but not drying then there might be a build up of lint in the exhaust duct and/or passage. Once I replaced the the duct and ran a snake with a brush through the passage (my dryer was on 1st floor, vent ran up to 2nd) and cleaned out the lint build up in filter area it worked like new. Also keep in mind if you use dryer sheets they will leave an invisible residue on your lint filter thus restricting airflow. This can lead to the heating element burning out. The lint filter should periodically be scrubbed with a soft brush (an old toothbrush will do) under warm water with detergent (I use Dawn). This should keep the airflow moving through the dryer instead of keeping it in the drum. Hope this helps.
