Cant get brother model mfc640cw to work

First you need the printer installation CD,if not you need to download the driver from Brother International - Support for your Brother Product.

After you get one of those, then you can start the installation by:
1-Run the CD on the CD drive or
2-Use the driver that you dload.
The installation will guide you.

yes you might just have to load the software. If you tried loading the drivers and it isn't working then try that and let me know if it works. good luck

If u dont have the cd u can get it from the internet itself,
just type the product and the model name carefully
so that u willl be able to download

I guess you run windows. Did you install the mfl-suite given to you by cd? Use the PaperPort software. Handbook can be found on cd (other software). In case you dont have paperport, you can use another programm which supports the scanner driver. Therefore be sure to have installed all the drivers.
