1993 Ford Ranger 4.0. Where does the spark plug gap on it?

It depends on the spark plugs that have been used. Some are pre gapped, some have three preset side electrodes around the edge. Gapping spark plugs is not as critical as the old days due to modern CDI ignition systems which give a much larger spark and huge improvements in spark plug technology.

Patio doors leaking

Contact a local door installer and have them replace the weatherstripping all around. With worn weatherstripping a lot of air comes in around the rollers and at the center posts where the doors hook together (when closed). If you have a pet door installed you may be unaware that the center posts are not linking up. This is a huge gap of 1/2 to 1 inch for the wind to blow right through. Take out the pet door or find a way to close the gap where the sliding doors no longer meet.

If the major air infiltration is at the top then very likely the original installer did not keep the track straight and level -- usually this is caused by screws pulling the top track upward to the framing header. Shims should be used to correct this but cannot be done without removing trim and possibly requiring the top track be removed too. A door installer can tell you whether moving the track down or making it straight will stop the air infiltration. Weatherstripping will only seal if there is contact between the door and the top track sides -- at least as wide as the weatherstrip and completely including the weatherstrip in the contacting surfaces.

The 2 doors on my Maytag SXS aren't even in the front when they close. The refig side sticks out. The doors are otherwise level and even in all respects. I adjusted top & bottom hin

Hello Joe;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

This was your first time setting the gap between the doors. So, I will share with you the various ways to adjust the doors gap.

1.) On the bottom of some doors there are adjustment screws for pitching the door left or right to set the gap. This was a good design idea, but there is not locking nut to hold the setting. Opening and closing the door will remove the setting. So, if you have these adjust screws, we will forget them.

2.) Lets try this: Adjust the front leveling bolts. Loosen the top of the door hinges. If the gap is smaller at the top, lower the leveling bolt up on the left hand side. Turn the bolt counter clockwise to raise. Pound on the doors to free them to adjust. If the gap is smaller on the bottom, on the right jacking screw, raise the jack bolt by turning the jack bolt clockwise. Once again, pound on the door to free for the adjustment. Then tighten to top door hinges.

3.) OK, This did not set the gap. The gap between the door is different depending on the model. Determine the gap which you would like to set. Using something solid like pieces of wood (do not use cardboard it will crush), loosen the top hinges, evenly space the wedges and tape them to the door. Now tighten the top hinges and remove the wedges.

4.) Ok, This did not set the gap. Look on the bottom of the door at the hinge. You have a matching set of grommets. These grommets interlock when the doors close to keep the doors closed. These are high wear components. The doors rest on these components. One grommet set may be more warn than the other affecting the door gap

Is gap between front door panel and inner panel on a KUDE Kitchenaid dishwasher normal?

Generally, dishwasher doors don't seal to the cabinet. Hot air MAY escape through the gap - this is pretty normal.

My new side by side refrigerator doors are to far apart. The gap between the doors is wider towards the top then the bottom. How wide should the gap really be and can I adjust the doors so they are...

If you loosen the bolts that hold the hinges on, there should be a small amount of play that will allow you to square up the doors. The gap between the doors should be just wider than your fingers, so they don't get pinched.

Locked keys in car.need picture of inside of the door to see how to open it with a coat hanger

BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL!! pull top of door out with your fingers and wedge something in the gap. doesnt have to be a huge gap just enough to get a hanger or whatever you choose to use. if it has lock button you can directly push with hanger or whatever. if no button you can bend a hook on hanger and snag door lock and pull open. good luck!! BE CAREFUL, DO NOT PULL DOOR TO FAR. JUST ENOUGH AS NEEDED. let me know how it goes!!!

Glass continually shattering on combination neff oven

That's a huge gap.

You might ask their customer service people to authorize the replacement of the whole door or the glass and the inner door panel where the gap is.

If they won't help you, you could clean it thoroughly, then carefully caulk the gap with high temperature caulk.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Bottom freezer door on our LG is out of adjustment. One side closes tight the other has a .25" gap.

The easiest way to fix that is to pull the freezer door all the way out and give it a good little tug, you will see the plastic covers on the side rails there will be a little gap about one inch on each side make sure those gaps are even. Your door should be aligned

Door ajar won't go out

There is a switch or sensor on the door frame either on the hinch side or on the latch side. Try to activate it with the the car on. With the door open, the door open light should light on, if it is a mechanical switch, push it in, if a sensor, touch it with a steel object, the light should turn off. This means the door switch is working ok. Now try the same again but this time push the switch slowly until the door ajar warning light turns on. This means that the switch works ok. Now, close the door from outside and check that there is no gap betwwen the body and the door line all over the perimeter of it. If there is a gap mainly at the latch side or at the hinch side, it can be your problem. If so, let me know so I can show you how to adjust the door to eliminate the gap.
If there is no gaps, your door switch is to low (too far in), let me know so I can show you how to adjust it.
