Tom tom 130 screen cracked.. how to open unit to replace?

Very easy! First, unstick the label on the botton of the unit.Using a Torx T6 tool, unscrew the two tiny screws.
Now remove the front silver finishing very carefully from the lower edge since the screen may come off along with it damaging the flat cable
Good Luck

Cracked screen. Can it be replaced. TomTom One. Large display.

tom toms are 100 dollars @ Walmart. You may be able to find a replacement LCD screen on ebay, and do it yourself. I'm sure you could contact Tom Tom and order a screen, but by the time you get done with the screen and shipping from the factory i'm sure it would cost more then a new unit! Good luck! O by the way i just bought a 120 dollar garmin and its amazing. Voice and all from walmart. I liked it so much bought one for each car.

Does anyone know how to change a cracked screen on a tom tom 300 please, i have managed to open it up but can't get to the screen cable to take the old screen out.

The solution to this is quite simple. Buy a new Tom Tom.
The Tom Tom units are not serviceable items. It's silly and quite honestly inexperienced of you to think they are.
If it's still under warrenty, MAYBE Tom Tom would replace the unit free of charge . But don't hold your breath. As a cracked screen wouldn't be under the fair wear and tear usage policy. So I'm afraid it's a case of dusting those cobwebs out of your wallet.
The strange thing about your question is why open up the tom tom in the first place ?
You can't possibly have a replacement screen!
Your either 11 years old or a very strange person.
