uninstall the older device drivers and then install the latest device
drivers. You can also download the latest webcam drivers from the
internet and install the new device drivers.
Now go to manufacture site & in the download option, select your model number. After selecting the laptop model number from site, click on 'Software & Drivers Downloads'. Now you need to choose your operating system & select the given updates & follow all instructions to download it. After
complete download, install supported driver for your laptop webcam.
After install driver, reboot your laptop again and check that your
webcam is working properly or not. I hope it will fix your webcam not working issue if laptop is not facing any hardware issue.
You monitor with built-in web camera may only process the video signal through the USB only, not audio from the microphone, look for analog microphone output jack to hook it up to your PC microphone input.
Do you have the USB cable connection from the monitor hooked up to your computer? If so, are your USB ports configured properly?
Your computer should alert you with an audible tone indication whenever you connect or disconnect the webcam USB cable. If it is not doing this, The webcam itself may be defective.
double click on the microphone volume thing at the bottom right of your start menu bar, that should bring up your volume levels, make sure the mic isn't muted. Also check to see if there are any microphone cables to plug into your soundcard. It's also possible it's just a webcam and doesn't have a microphone with it.
