Question about HP Pavilion zd8000 Notebook
My screen has vertical lines /black and white/covering about 2"of my screen -left side about 1"active than about 2"innactive lines and remaining right is again active. What could be causing this? thanks,Paul
Your lcd is going out. Either that or your video card.
You can verify this by hooking up an external monitor to your laptop. If you see lines or distortion on the external it's the video card ( GPU ).
If you don't, it's probably the lcd.
90% of the time it's the lcd.
Easiest and cheapest way to fix it is to purchase an lcd from ebay and then just swap them.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Best of luck!
