An output like ( HDMI ) would be on a dish reciever , and a hdmi input on a tv would plug into that output on the dish reciever
Is HDMI what you are trying to connect? then you would need an HDMI cable
HDTV = High Definition television , which means that you have a built in digital tuner that will pick up the digital and high definition broadcast channels with an antenna connected to the tv

Can not accept dish network

We would be happy to help get that fixed right away. Thefirst thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on. Check whattype of cable is used to connect the TV to the receiver. If you are using a CoaxCable to connect the receiver to TV1, check the receiver's back panel forthe output name. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out": TuneTV to channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "HomeDistribution": Tune TV to channel 62 or 75. If using non-Coax(RCA, Component, or HDMI) to connect receiver to TV1, cycle through theinputs until picture appears; Most TVs have a "TV/Video","Input", or "Source" button either on the TV or theremote that came with the TV. We want to ensure that the TV and the receiverare connected properly, please visit this link to for more information on howit should be connected: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-totv.Once we have made sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10seconds then plug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still notgetting a picture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the sameTV, using same cable, same input, and same channel to see if it works. If youget a picture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474)for some additional troubleshooting. If it doesn't work with the othercomponent then replace the cable that was used.

We hope these steps resolve the issue. We want to thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!

Where is the cable connection on my tv

There are usually two types of cables that connect to your tv-- coax and RCA. Cable usually uses the coax style, but some modern tvs don't have a coaxial input, which means they probably have RCA jacks. Therefore, you will probably have to find an RF modulator or the like that has a coax cable "Cable" input and RCA (yellow, white, and red plugs) output. These should be able to connect your tv to cable. I hope this helps, and good luck! Sincerely, Der Strom

It would be our pleasure to help get that fixed right away. The first thing we want to ensure is that all connected equipment is on;although it may seem like an obvious step we don't want to overlook it. If your receiver has a "TV CH 3/4 out": Tune TVto channel 3 or channel 4, if it is labeled "Home Distribution":Tune TV to channel 62 or 75. More than likely you are using a non-coax (RCA,Component, or HDMI) cable to connect receiver to TV1, in this case we want tocycle through the inputs of your until picture appears; most TV's have a"TV/Video", "Input", or "Source" button either onthe front of the TV or on the remote. We also want to ensure that the TV andthe receiver are connected properly, visit this link to for more information:http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/setup-receiver-totv. Once we havemade sure everything is connected properly, unplug receiver for 10 seconds thenplug it back in, this will reset the receiver. If we are still not getting apicture connect another component (VCR, DVD Player, etc.) to the same TV, usingthe same cable, on the same input/channel to see if it works. If you get apicture with the other component give us a call at 1-800-333-DISH (3474) forsome additional troubleshooting. HDTV and connecting speakers...

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

If your TV has audio output jacks on the back, then you don't need an amp or receiver. These jacks use traditional composite cables that are red and white in color. I'm talking about the same kind you use with a dvd player.

F.Y.I. A lot of TVs don't have composite audio outputs, but they will have what's called an optical audio output. That type has to be used with an amp or receiver because you can't plug that type of line into any speaker.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Protron 42'' LCD TV

If you need to connect to DTV,you must have RCA cable(video/audio cable, could be component video cable and audio left and right!) Also,in order to have that connect it,you need to have a cable box, directv or dishnetwork box that got the component video output. If you are connecting the coaxial to the TV,you are not going to have any signal in the DTV connection, cause there is anything connect it to there!

Antenna Adapter

If the antenna connector is missing it probably has been broken off. I suggest that you use a HDTV cable box and connect with component connectors. Green, Blue, Red video + red & white audio. If you are on off the air antenna, the cable box can be gotten from eBay. If you have satellite, hook up either video or HDTV connections. Hope this helps.
